Organisational Insight: evidence that organisations fail to use
Organisational insight is one of the most underestimated assets available to HR and business leaders...
There are three simple principles that underpin the new approach to continuous performance management - Conversations, Feedback and Cadence.
Conversations
Conversations, and not judgements or ratings is the key ingredient. With a 'nudge', they can be purposeful and encompass career, growth and performance coaching.
Feedback
We all work in much more networked environments than before and our performance, achievements and behaviours are observed by so many more stakeholders. Getting feedback, both structured and unstructured adds weight and purpose to development and growth.
Cadence
Abandoning the annual process with its forms and bureaucracy is like pushing an open door. Replace it with 'little and often' - 'nudged check-ins' and a timescale that centres on the individual, their role and their needs.
These three principles above don't require technology, but it can certainly help and in today's workplace, is certainly expected!
