Head Light launches enhanced employee engagement tool

Talent En-Gauge is being updated and re-launched at the CIPD L&D Show. An employee engagement survey and analytics tool, Talent En-Gauge supports snapshot and continuous listening approached to engagement measurement.

Talent management software specialist Head Light will launch a ground-breaking engagement survey and analytics tool - and demonstrate how HR teams can calculate and improve their return on investment from performance management - on stand 446 at the CIPD Learning and Development Show (30 April-1 May, Olympia).

Called Talent En-Gauge®, the company’s enhanced engagement survey and analytics tool equips organisations with everything they need to monitor and improve employee engagement. The software includes a best practice survey questionnaire, addressing 12 key factors of engagement, which can be tailored to cover any strategically-important engagement factors, values or key performance indicators that the organisation wants to investigate.

"Typically, organisations have to outsource an employee survey and they lose control of the process," said Ian Lee-Emery, Managing Director of Head Light. "For many it can become a tick-box exercise and nothing changes in the business as a result. We’re offering a very different approach in the industry: easy-to-use software functionality that will actually equip organisations to run their own employee engagement surveys, query the resultant data and understand the analytical details. Plus, it provides specific practical actions that senior executives, managers and individual employees can take to further improve engagement, and address any disengagement factors, at every level."

On the first day of the show (4.45pm on 30 April), Head Light will deliver a free session in the Learning Arena. Entitled Engagement Surveys; central to talent management or a waste of time?, the session will stress that it’s not enough to simply measure engagement, the emphasis should be on acting on the results and implementing practical changes that will improve engagement.

"Ironically, running an engagement survey can actually be a source of disengagement if no action is taken afterwards,” said Ian Lee-Emery. “It’s important to remember that engagement isn’t just an HR issue, it’s a responsibility for everyone in the organisation. Senior executives, managers and individual employees need to understand exactly what specific actions they need to take to enhance engagement. Our new tool gives them that information."

As well as showcasing its performance management, engagement, succession planning and 360 degree feedback tools, Head Light will offer visitors to its stand a free, personalised ROI calculation to help them understand the contribution that their performance reviews currently deliver and the impact and return that could be achieved by making even small improvements to their performance management practices.

"ROI is the language of business,” said Ian Lee-Emery. “Using readily available HR and company information, we can quickly illustrate the bottom line impact that can result from improving performance management."
