Conversations, and not judgements or ratings is the key ingredient.  With a 'nudge', they can be purposeful and encompass career, growth and performance coaching.

We all work in much more networked environments than before and our performance, achievements and behaviours are observed by so many more stakeholders.  Getting feedback, both structured and unstructured adds weight and purpose to development and growth.

Abandoning the annual process with its forms and bureaucracy is like pushing an open door. Replace it with 'little and often' - 'nudged check-ins' and a timescale that centres on the individual, their role and their needs.
